New York Fashion Week is a busy time! This past weekend, Friday-Monday I woke up at 6am, did photoshoots for 4 fashion bloggers, 1 dance/choreographer, 1 yogi, and took 6,000 photos. Here’s a brief look into my very busy weekend.
Brenna contacted me cause she’s friends with a blogger Emily who I worked with in December. We had planned to meet at 8 but because of weather and transportation issues we didn’t end up meeting until 9am which was fine cause I always plan plenty of extra time. She had ideas of where she wanted to shoot, in front of Dior, and her outfits as did everyone I shot. When we started it was sprinkling a little and we were hoping it would clear up but the longer we were shooting the heavier the rain got which resulted in us having to find spots to shoot under awnings.
Kristina found me through Instagram, as do most people, and we planned to meet at a coffee shop again at 8am. She asked if her friend who was also in the city for fashion week could come along and I of course said yes. They arrived right before me and we grabbed a coffee before going out into the cold. It was freezing. The real feel was 12 degrees and we were outside for almost an hour changing looks on the street cause most places we could have gone and changed weren’t open until 9. Even though I couldn’t feel my hands after 5 minutes in, we took so many great photos and had SO much fun. Kristina and Lee were so nice and happy and ready to do anything even out in the cold. (Lee is a lawyer and she’s blonde and her insta handle is @legalleeblonde and I think that’s the greatest thing)
I had two more shoots planned for this weekend previously which were also just as cold and just as fun. I thought I was done and was considering possibly doing homework when I got a message on Sunday from another blogger who was in the city for fashion week and had already heard about me from Lee! And she was leaving on Tuesday but wanted to possibly shoot last minute if I was free. Normally Mondays are my schoolwork days cause I have basically the whole do free, but that also meant I had the time to shoot more so I said yes and I met up with Alyssa in Brooklyn on Monday morning where we took just a few shots in DUMBO and on the Brooklyn Bridge.
All in all a very busy, cold and incredibly fun weekend!
